The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Warriors Table
Since the launch of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a colorful mix of heroes, and a exciting storyline featuring angels, demons, and malevolent powers expanding in influence within Dol-Makjar.
Note: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Unveiled
The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the main group to undertake their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table consists of Teor (played by Travis), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.
Hence, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
As described by the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might appear unsuited, but the actions of episode 3 show why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
First, the group knows exactly where to go next after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose death started the story’s plot—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
Casimir then settled his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each character has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:
- Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks vengeance.
- The adventurer has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a hostile environment.
- The warrior and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to execute the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their position as important members in House Halovar could assist the team access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule the city for a range of causes, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
- The strong figure and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- Teor is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This leaves them few options but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.
Upcoming Developments
From the recent installment’s post-show segment, we learn that the Soldiers table won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the participants to round up the Questers and Strategists groups.
